The best posture is the next posture
No single sitting position stays comfortable for eight hours. Regular changes of position, short walking breaks, and simple shoulder movement matter more than holding a rigid “perfect” posture all day.
Bring the work closer to you
Keep the screen near eye level, support the forearms, and avoid reaching forward for the keyboard. Laptop users often benefit from a separate keyboard and mouse during longer work sessions.
When exercises alone are not enough
If pain is recurring, travelling into the arm, or accompanied by weakness or persistent headaches, an assessment can clarify whether manual therapy, spinal care, strengthening, or a workstation review is appropriate.
